In February 2018, Murray was invited to join the Independent Review of Workplace Culture at Save the Children UK, working as Deputy to the Chair, Dr Suzanne Shale.
The Independent Review team’s Terms of Reference were approved by the Charity Commission on 28 February 2018. The scope of the Independent Review, which will report in October 2018, includes an assessment of current workplace cultures and levels of trust in the organisation. It will take into account what can be learnt from the institutional response to past events, which have been widely reported in the media. The findings of the Independent Review will be published on the charity’s website and made available to the Charity Commission for England and Wales.
Murray has taken particular responsibility for leading a team of specialist interviewers exploring experiences of misconduct, and for a collaborative strand of work using group-based conversations to identify good practice.
